The New York City Police Department Band came to Japan from America and held a concert in Koriyama City to bring music and smiles to Fukushima after the earthquake. This was the fourth performance by the New York City Police Department Band in Fukushima, and the second consecutive year of performance. NIRAKU decided to support the concert again this year out of a strong shared desire with the Band to cheer on the people of Fukushima as they struggled with the aftereffects of the earthquake and the nuclear power plant disaster.

Operation Area
Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture - Tokyo
Activity Contents
For Fukushima to be truly vitalized, its industry must develop, jobs must be created, and new lives must be formed throughout the prefecture. Since the earthquake, companies have been striving to continue operation, and many companies in need of additional manpower have engaged in recruitment activities.
Even before the earthquake, the rising costs of transportation had become a problem for new graduates seeking jobs, resulting in missed opportunities to come in contact with companies in Fukushima Prefecture. To help resolve this situation, we decided to operate a free highway bus service between Koriyama City, Fukushima and Tokyo.
Fukushima is filled with wonderful companies. We hope that by providing new graduates with many opportunities to get in touch with these companies, we can help stimulate new employment.
